THE FIFTH ANNUAL SUNSET & DINE: CELEBRATING COMMUNITY AND CUISINE
I had the honor of being the official event photographer. Sunset & Dine celebrates some of the eclectic and creative culinary concepts taking root near the famed intersection of Sunset and Vine – from chef-driven restaurants to well-known favorites. Guests enjoyed bites, beer and wine, as well as a live DJ music concert curated by Amoeba Music culminating with headliner Gabriel Garzon-Montano.
The event was presented by the Coalition to Protect L.A. Neighborhoods & Jobs. It is organized by the Central Hollywood Coalition, the non-profit board that manages the Sunset & Vine Business Improvement District.
“Sunset & Dine brings those who live, work and play in Hollywood together with local chefs, culinary professionals and musicians for a fun evening under the stars,” said Fabio Conti of Fabiolus Cucina. “The true entertainment capital of the world is transforming. There’s more than $1.8 billion in investment in the pipeline here. Special things are happening in Hollywood, and Sunset & Dine will give guests a taste of it.”
“In a community like Hollywood, there is an abundance of talent, creativity and passion,” said Joyce Williams-Maxwell of Emerson College Los Angeles. “This event brings together people from industries as diverse as film, business, and education to taste the flavors of Hollywood and build community spirit.”
Children under 12 attended the event free of charge.
Premiere sponsors included Hudson Pacific Properties and The Los Angeles Film School. Gold sponsors included The Camden, Emerson College Los Angeles, and Paramount Contractors & Developers. The event is also made possible in part by the event’s community sponsors: Amoeba, Assembly member Richard Bloom, Council Member Mitch O’Farrell, LAArtsOnline.com, NthoNet Inc., and Siren Studios.
This event is a sell out every year, this year being no exception. A limited number of tickets are available to the public, so if you are interested in attending next year, keep your eyes open for next year’s announcement. It is an event well worth your time! Oh, and did I say the food was delicious? It was! Great food, with impeccable upscale Hollywood ambience, what more could you want?
