Few of you have likely ever heard of my friend Nels Israelson.  For years, Nels has been one of those hard working photographic souls who’s work is absolutely fabulous, but whose lot in life is to work for major film studios.  You know, those fat cat corporations who squeeze value and every PR possibility like they had the big egos of some Producers who never share credit with anyone save for themselves.  If you’ve been alive at least fifteen years, you’ve most likely seen Nels work many times.  Nels shoots many of those fabulous movie posters that grace the lobby in your local cinema theatre and draw in the crowds from the billboards plastered along the front wall next to the theatre entrance at your local mall.

Well, this time the cat is out of the bag.  Nels is doing lenticular 3D photography now, and it is taking the world by storm.  He’s also just released his updated website where he actually displays the images he’s created for The Hobbit, the latest in the Tolkein story series soon to hit your local venue.  I can’t post the images here, but you all should click over to Nel’s new site to see Gandalf, Bilbo, Galadriel, and Thorin for your self in all their three dimensional splendor as only Nels Israelson can do.  It’s something you really don’t want to miss!
